Applied Prayer Evangelism

Creation groans for God’s children to release leaves of the tree of life to free a desperate world.

Prayer - Standing in the Gap

About 25 intercessors attended the workshop on Strongholds Exposed and Overcome, which looked at the role of intercessors, standing in the gap to declare God’s blessing and authoritatively opening the way for marketplace ministers (His ekklesia) to advance into the broader public square (ekklesia). We looked at 2 Chronicles 20, an integrated team approach to bless the earth. Faced with disaster, an intercessor was given God’s strategy. The king and leaders discerned and implemented it. The body obeyed in unity, faith, and praise. The Lord performed a miracle. The nations were blessed.

Each city needs a Meeting core leadership team, where an intercessor is represented with marketplace and pulpit leaders, and also connected to the larger intercessor group. Intercessors must overcome spiritual strongholds, hidden and warring against us in our minds. In his book That None Should Perish, Ed Silvoso defines a & spiritual stronghold as “a mindset impregnated with hopelessness that causes us to accept as unchangeable, situations we know are contrary to the will of God”.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 shows us how to overcome strongholds, Influencing individually and corporately. Like Daniel, we disciple nations, not just individuals. Angels and system intercessors helped him bless mighty kings (Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus, Darius, Artaxerxes) with the wisdom of heaven so that those kings implemented God’s transformation plan.

Today, creation groans for God’s children to release leaves of the tree of life to free a desperate world. God designed intercessors to be clear, power-filled partners, transforming their city and Canada, with His Kingdom’s righteousness peace and joy.
